You can’t be a democracy and an oligarchy at the same time. Either the country belongs to all of us or the country belongs only to a few of us. This is the deepest existential question about who we are and who we want to be.

On the surface it's a democracy, but underneath it's an oligarchy.

As long as the oligarchy keeps perpetuating the myth that the U.S. is a democracy, the world and this country will always be its oyster. But the world and country are catching on - and the oligarchy knows it. There's lightening on the horizon.
