Biden & Harris won’t override the decision of the parliamentarian on the $15/hr minimum wage hike, saying they’re disappointed but that they respect it. Better they should respect the right of everyone who works 40 hours a week to make a living wage. For 900,000 people it matters

They know they will not have the votes to override it.

I’ll say! Now their respect is not what we need. We need progress for the sake of progress! You asked us to get out & vote especially in my state of GA and we did!! We did our part now you do yours!! Move forward & do something. Your respect is NOT paying my bills or feeding me!!

Wouldn’t it affect closer to 50 million people?

Don't overrule the parliamentarian if you don't have the votes.

If they wanted it to happen, they would have made it happen. They don't want it. They don't care.

U.S. Senators & Representatives should have to try and survive on minimum wage for just one year, and have little to healthcare coverage - like the typical American worker. If that were to happen, they’d likely have the U.S. wages and healthcare issues solved within a week.

Yes, and the american people pay for their fat salaries and lifetime pension and benefits...and they couldnt do their job properly and pass a simple wage floor

What blows my mind is that supposedly our politician’s represent us people, but when voting in Congress it is not the people who influence their voting choices.
