Nothing like using the powers of government to protect the free market from any ethical responsibility at all, thus paving the way for cascading calamities and then calling it freedom.
I just announced Texas is OPEN 100%. EVERYTHING. I also ended the statewide mask mandate.

What is it about not being able to tell the whole country what to wear on their face bothers u? If people feel safer wearing a mask then they will, it’s unconstitutional to force it, especially for a virus with a 99.96 survival rate. What’s next? Speed limit 10 country wide?
@marwilliamson do you have any science to back you up on the efficacy of lockdowns? Are the states under lockdown faring better than others? Please check John Hopkins stats and see if FL, TX, OK, SD are doing any worse than NY, NJ, CA.

Texas is open... Perhaps a “good” decision for business...Yet an extraordinarily poor decision for humanity and the well being of all people.

Only time will tell what will happen from here on out...they could be right to do so

And tell me again how well California, New York have been fairing with their massive lockdowns.

It really just comes down to how much trust you have in people to make good decisions. If you generally don't trust that they will, you probably agree with mandates, and vice versa.

Masks work to help reduce the transmission, but mask mandates do not work. If you look at the data states without mask mandates had similar case levels of states that require them. Poverty and depression kill people too.

You’d think the crisis of the winter storm they are still recovering from would have made him think differently, I guess not.

It's like the governor's are in competition to see who is the worst...
