I have family in TX. They’re not “paranoid recluses” but rather responsible citizens who care about themselves & those around them. Irresponsible reopening endangers them. The insanity of endowing public policy with the ethos of pure selfishness is nothing TX should be proud of.

Yeah, I know. A death rate of .028%. SCARY AS HELL. Not. YOU stay at home. I have family there as well and they CHOOSE to live WITHOUT a mask. Send duct tape to your family and have them stay, taped at home, hopefully to the floor, where they might feel the safest.

Based on your analysis, I expect all "responsible citizens" to lockdown and mask up every flu season. They should also give up driving privilege's. Both kill tens of thousands of citizens every single year. Life is full of risk, we need to mitigate it, we cannot eliminate it.

You do realize that the handful of people that is your family is just as selfish then if the state were to stay locked down because of them. And I understand that it isn't specifically just your family at risk. It works both ways.
