I have family in TX. They’re not “paranoid recluses” but rather responsible citizens who care about themselves & those around them. Irresponsible reopening endangers them. The insanity of endowing public policy with the ethos of pure selfishness is nothing TX should be proud of.

What's the problem? They can get the vaccine, keep wearing their masks, keep social distancing, keep practicing good hygiene, etc... no law against that. Nor is there going to be any magical mystical date in which anyone comes out and announces that Covid is "over".
