To all the leftists crying because Texas and Mississippi have announced they will resume FREEDOM— did you know that you are still welcome to stay in your home all day and double mask? You don’t need a government mandate to be a paranoid recluse.

Replying to @RealCandaceO
I have family in TX. They’re not “paranoid recluses” but rather responsible citizens who care about themselves & those around them. Irresponsible reopening endangers them. The insanity of endowing public policy with the ethos of pure selfishness is nothing TX should be proud of.

Very proud. You do you and we, as Texans, know how to do us. It’s time to get our freedom back. @marwilliamson stay out of it.

Have you heard how migrants, who test positive for Covid19, are being released into the U.S. from the border in Texas.... THAT should be a bigger concern.

But if the masks work aren’t they protected from those not wearing them?

Proud Texan. Wear a mask then! Doesn’t mean you have to force me to wear one. Also I’ve known tons of people that got covid while wearing a mask. So just stay at home then!

No one is stopping them from moving to California, New York, Illinois, etc., where the government edicts will protect them, straight into poverty & mental illness. If you don't like how your state is run, you can move to another, oh that's right, their all moving to Tx & Fl...

The shutdown was only to help the hospitals and healthcare handle the situation. It has been a year and it is time to get back to life.

If you want to keep wearing a mask then wear your mask. Literally NO ONE is stopping you. The only thing that happened is there is no longer a mandate. Keep wearing your mask and practice social distancing.

Hey Marianne! I live—or try to—in Texas. The reopening is long overdue. Btw, mask wearing isn’t science, it’s social dogma. You’re welcome. As for your family, they are free to double mask and claim ‘responsible caringness’ and we are free to wave as we drive by to work unmasked.

If I lived in TX I would continue to wear an N95 covered with a bandana or scarf (that matches my outfit because I'm always stylin') AND be grateful that I live in a place where I'd be free not to if I decided it wasn't in my & public's best interest.
