Economic injustice is systemic, and nothing holds the system in place more than a $7.25 minimum wage. There is no justice - racial or otherwise - where there is no economic justice, and no amount of spin can make it otherwise.

If only Kamala could override the parliamentarian or the Senate leader could fire them? Seems like people want plausible deniablity vs fighting for what is right.

You’re a fool if you think raising minimum wage increases will help anyone. This is like treating HIV with essential oils

Very well put. Our electeds & their corporate donors benefit from our current system. People seldom want to change a system they benefit from. This is why it’s so important that we check the funding of politicians & elect folks who are representing us, not corporations & the 1%

Minimum wage needs to be increased. However. We need increases to be weighted for the cost of living in specific markets. A national minimum wage places an undue burden on small businesses in some markets and is insufficient for employees in others.

The really sad thing is.... the more money we dump into the economy, the faster we destroy the planet. Maybe money is not such a hot idea.

I want to hire someone to help around the house with some things. I can't afford $15/hr. So, nobody gets a job and I just get more exhausted.

Was thinking about that word "spin" just yesterday. That's where it began. Over time, it's morphed into alternative facts and alternative reality. In hindsight, we should have always demanded basic truth.

Compare what the stock market has done since 2009 versus a flat minimum wage. It truly is expensive to be poor in America.

The minimum wage must be 0 to get rid of systemic injustice... We simply can no longer rely on this nonrepresentative government to safeguard our economic situation.
