Raising the min wage from $7.25/hr to $15/hr would increase wages of 32 million workers, a majority of whom currently live below poverty line. If the Dems refuse to do this, they’ll surrender all moral authority among millions of people whose votes they will need in the midterms.

Here is a clue. It isn't Dems who are refusing to do this. There are fighting for it. If not in Covid bill, will still fight for it. You could blame Joe Manchin, but it could easily be a more radical Trumpist in that seat. Please put any blame where it actually lies, the GOP.

If you increase the minimum wage, the price of everything will increase including wages.

My opinion is the mw should have be addressed many yrs ago..so right in this instance of time and the need for relief we can do what's needed now and then push the parties to continue their focus and get our government on point and onboard with making changes to the minimum wage.

Let the @SenateDems rush the relief bill through without it! We’ve been waiting far too long for another check, even if it’s not enough! 😡 It’d be so much better to pass a Bipartisan #MinimumWage increase later after we pick & eat some more of that low-hanging fruit 🍉

If the #Democrats fired the Senate parliamentarian, then the GOP would accuse VP Harris of rule-breaking, Fox News would run with the story, spin it to hell & all the right-wing extremists would fit it into even more absurd conspiracy theories

Refuse? You got some Republican votes in your pocket you'd like to share? Maybe go campaign in a few states where the minimum wage is really low, all of them red states. Get them to raise their wages. Dems fault Reps won't vote for anything for the people. Sure.

They've already blown the midterms. It's just sad.

Agreed and I believe the majority of people and the Democrats feel the same. But we still don't have a clear steadfast majority to pass it, yet. Too many assinine Trump repubs are blocking it with money from Big Corp who never want to raise employer pay!!!
