Raising the min wage from $7.25/hr to $15/hr would increase wages of 32 million workers, a majority of whom currently live below poverty line. If the Dems refuse to do this, they’ll surrender all moral authority among millions of people whose votes they will need in the midterms.

Exactly. Why would a set of people decide to impoverish the rest of the citizens. That’s really not ideal. The tax pay citizens of America deserve a break.

They almost ALWAYS cave. Remove the FILIBUSTER and start rebuilding the middle class and lift the working class out of poverty! It's not that hard when you're the majority! We need legislators who know how to play ethical HARDBALL!

Tell me how it hurts the Democrats if they lose? They have the same agenda as the Republicans they're just not as loud about it.

Don't you realize, Democrats don't care about Americans, just their LOBBYISTS and themselves. Look at tge PORK they have in the COVID relief bill! Look at all the jobs being lost?

It would increase the wages of the fraction of those 32 million who remained employed. It would decrease the wages of those whose labor is not worth the new minimum, to zero.

I would have no problem with govt sponsored compensatory measures during a transitional period. But the change will ultimately benefit the economy and should not be delayed.
