Raising the min wage from $7.25/hr to $15/hr would increase wages of 32 million workers, a majority of whom currently live below poverty line. If the Dems refuse to do this, they’ll surrender all moral authority among millions of people whose votes they will need in the midterms.

why not handle it like the FMLA? employers with 50 or more employees pay the federal minimum wage and employers with fewer than 50 pay the state minimum wage. this would still benefit millions without placing a burden on small businesses struggling to recover from the pandemic.

The threshold of poverty must also be adjusted! Our criteria here in the U.S. is horrendous...

Mind you the block in the graph underlined in Blue is what we set our poverty level on.... Take notice of how other living costs are increasing!

But we do realize that doubling the pay will put the businesses out of business, right? So instead of low paying jobs, they’ll have no jobs. That’s pretty obvious, right?

It’s not too late! Work the Reconciliation strategy. 81 million voters expect Democratic Senators to include the $15/hr minimum wage item. Voters will not support weak-kneed backtracking. Keep the Faith. Trust the Electorate!

Biden is fighting harder for Tanden's confirmation then he is for the minimum wage. He wants a Clinton enforcer to stifle blow back from his positions on policies, like the minimum wage.

Very well said. The year 2022 will get here before we know it.
While I agree with the $15/hr min wage, I have to disagree with you blaming the Democrats! Get a clue as to how government works, the republicans are on obstruction duty (have been for over 10yrs!), that is what has been holding this and other issues up. Talk to the republicans!
