Raising the min wage from $7.25/hr to $15/hr would increase wages of 32 million workers, a majority of whom currently live below poverty line. If the Dems refuse to do this, they’ll surrender all moral authority among millions of people whose votes they will need in the midterms.

Moral authority... surely you jest.. oh sorry bombing , endless wars, making corporations richer, lying (checks out on day one), board member from the MIC on the cabinet is the new moral high ground. I forgot.

Yes while small businesses staggering under barrage of pandemic are struggling to survive, let’s double the overhead many can’t pay & govt has already been subsidizing. Brilliant I’m all for “lifting out of poverty” but this will be a shift from small business to large corps

Your math is deceiving, millions would lose their jobs to streamlining and automation. Most businesses can’t afford the increase, especially during the crushing political lockdowns.

Actual minimum wage is always zero.

It's just more of the same. Political parties do not care about regular people; only votes.

It would destroy millions of small businesses & a lot of those 32 million workers will be out of work. The cost of raising minimum wage that high, is the business has to pass that increase on to the customers who will no longer be able to afford shopping there. Ask Oregon.
