Hugely important. Silicon Valley wields power to determine the fate of hundreds of millions of people on this planet...as much as government, religion and the press. Ethical voices desperately needed within its ranks. (How many billions is enough, guys?)
India is targeting climate activists & supporters of #FarmersProtests. Silicon Valley has been complicit in these human rts violations. A new Indian law will require further complicity. We MUST pressure Big Tech to RESIST this! ⁦⁦@NaomiAKleintheintercept.com/2021/02/27/…

If you had been the Democratic nominee, Trump would be president right now.

Hi Marianne, The laws are much needed and give farmers the right to sell their produce in open market and give them a chance to increase their income. As someone who wrote Law of Divine Compensation, this is love in action. swarajyamag.com/politics/onc…

The farmers themselves would clearly argue otherwise.

The combine can easily crush almost any person, of course for any reason. The reason always is - they threaten our power.

Just wow. "silicon valley". You really go for the soundbites.

What they need & don't have is the *intellectual* kind of diversity. Only competition can cause this, and our politics drives mindlessness, as seen by recent "choices."

Ethical == Expulsion. Very long story, very short: the moment made it to the Sand Hill Rd. cocktail party circuit and included better circulation of wealth as one of my Silicon Valley dreams, was shown the door out, minutes after invited in. Imposter Syndrome didn't help. 🙏🏼

Silicon Valley has already become a government (small g), and that region is “DC2”. Also, this is why ethical AI should be at the forefront of democratic debate.
