Until we’re willing to shift society from an economic to a humanitarian bottom line - destroying the unholy alliance between politics and profit - then the best we can do is accompany each other to whatever global calamity or calamities destroy us instead.

It's quite scary. We need to stop endorsing and voting for the Democratic party, period. This is coming from a gay man, who grew up in a union household and was a lifelong Democrat. They've completely and utterly abandoned the working class and we're suckers for buying their bs.
