If the US gov’t wanted to eradicate poverty, it could do so much to eradicate poverty. If it wanted to eradicate hunger, it could do so much to eradicate hunger. If it wanted to eradicate illiteracy, it could do so much to eradicate illiteracy. The lesson here? It really doesn’t.
Not without a revolution. They will change the rules to remain in power. The bourgeoisie and petty bourgeoisie own the government. It benefits them to continue our oppression. You don’t fight capitalism with capitalism you fight it’s inequality with socialism.
