If the US gov’t wanted to eradicate poverty, it could do so much to eradicate poverty. If it wanted to eradicate hunger, it could do so much to eradicate hunger. If it wanted to eradicate illiteracy, it could do so much to eradicate illiteracy. The lesson here? It really doesn’t.

precisely.. but the government can do & only does what the ppl allow.. if ppl were as serious about changing the world as they claim, we would have been up in arms & still be up in arms.. or we’d take drastic measure to enact change.. but tweets, posts & words are preferable 🤐

Our government is too busy trying to police the world, give money to other countries and fight each other (Dems vs. Republicans) to worry about the multitude of problems we have in this country. It's so disheartening.
