In the 1970s the average American worker got good benefits and could afford to own a home and a car, take a vacation every year and send their kids to college. Reaganomics ended all that.google.com/amp/s/www.cbsnews…

So u want to keep the 1.5 billion Chinese, vietnamese and Eastern Europe workers under the communist yoke? That is what made it tougher for us workers but much better for us consumers and companies. Reagan prevented us from being Europe.

Pretty sure this was not true for BIPOC in the 1970's in the U.S.

Close~not quite. I graduated in 76. Father made good wages as union worker for telephone co. 5 kids, owned home, 2 cars, took vacation. But NO money for state college & made TOO much for financial aid. Went to live w/ grandmother ~ got Pells ~ school f/t, work p/t. I was lucky.

I remember 70's b/c it was my high school era. Many parents were caught in middle ~ made TOO much to qualify for financial aid and not enough to send kids to school. I recall even guidance counselor telling me I should not consider college as option even though I was A-B student.

The sad part about this is, the Republicans have known this for YEARS. They're not dumb. Yet they've continued selling this lie to their followers who then turn around and vote against their own interests, making the hole even deeper.
Every half-wit knew reaganomics was a scam. The economy is driven by demand not supply.

Imagine if you had more reach than Elizabeth Warren and didn’t betray Bernie like she did.

A very narrow view of economic history.
I get so sad/angry when I see how good a life citizens of other countries had compared to me😡 They have had so much more time off, healthcare, education and a decent retirement 😡😡😡
