This is why he was the worst President in my lifetime. We knew back then that his dismantling of social services would lead to where we are now. All Presidents since have followed in his footsteps.

In 60's and 70's, no one worried about health care costs. Companies covered 100% ~ there were no premiums. People never saw a bill. If you couldn't pay, state picked up the bill. It was not even a topic of discussion or worry in national dialogue. Spot on about Reaganomics!

@marwilliamson I was raised by parents who struggled financially in a working class Bay Area town. It was my dream to get a job bagging groceries at the local Raleyโ€™s supermarket as it was a union job with uplifting meaningful wages and benefits. What you share is true.
