In the 1970’s most members of congress, like Joe Manchin were in their 30’s and some even in their 40’s when federal minimum wage was $2.68/hr. Most members of Congress were well into adulthood in the 1970’s you speak of. They’re currently way out of touch. #JoeManchin #JoeBiden

It’s somewhat satisfying that history is catching up to support that the Reagan presidency was one of the worst of all. Should definitely be in the top third of worst 10 list. So much damage done to the American experiment of government.

Parasite politicians can cut taxes for the rich if they want. But the minimum wage needs to be increased to $25-$30 per hour nationwide.

Boomers were just entering the workforce and there were jobs but they were mostly what David Graber famously called “Bullshit Jobs”, well-paying but meaningless.
