In the 1970s the average American worker got good benefits and could afford to own a home and a car, take a vacation every year and send their kids to college. Reaganomics ended all that.google.com/amp/s/www.cbsnews…

I’ve seen that making its rounds recently. Had kind of a “No **** Sherlock” reaction to it.

Prez Reagan was Father of Federal Deficit Spending. From George Washington to Jimmy Carter it was only $750 BIL. Reagan ran it up over $2.3 TRILLION Iran Contra sold weapons to Iran, Cntrl Am Death squads, cutting welfare, massive defense spending, 50% tax increase of FICA yet

I cannot find any example in history where "trickle down" worked. When you give people of means access to more wealth, they just add it on to themselves. Capitalism rewards competition, winners, and degrades those without. It is amoral. Thus gov't must have a role!

I do not understand that all lower and middle class Americans don't realize as long as the top 15% income earners keep us fighting with each other, while the tax schedule benefits the top 15% we lose. Trickle-down Economics have never benefited Middle American.
Which in turn ushered in an era of intensive policing of those driven to the economic margins.
