NOT retroactively. That's an extreme and fiscally irresponsible measure. The govt likely doesn't have that kind of money to send everyone a $20k check to start. Call for something reasonable like $2k initially, then $1k monthly until the pandemic ends.

We're glad to see the #AmericanRescuePlan pass the House. But the UI provisions are totally inadequate: ✖️No retro ✖️No tax relief - our stimulus goes to IRS 💵Only $400, not $600 📅Expires 8/29 when Congress is in recess @JoeBiden @BrianDeeseNEC @SenSchumer must fix this mess.
