Any large corporation loves this...it creates a larger barrier of entry and it's the right thing to do if executives and shareholders are making million's

No teen or unskilled worker will ever get a job their again. There's no way they will pay that much to train ppl. And the process will go up again, like they always do, to offset any cost. That puts us back where we are now but with higher inflation.

How is this better than hiring twice as many people at $8/hr? And assuming they only hire the best 50% in that scenario, isn't this regressive against those most in need?

Costco can do it. My grandpa who employs over 100 people in Northern Michigan in the hospitality industry can鈥檛. Well, we can but we鈥檇 need to fire half our workforce so we could give the other half a double wage. Decisions like this should be regional.

Tell Walmart to #GetOffWelfare and pay its employees a living wage. Cancel your Sam's Club (Walmart) membership, and replace it with a Costco membership.

I love the "altruism" remark. I don't want altruism; I want the selfish desire to do what's right because not to do so makes you feel like a moral degenerate.
