Tens of millions live with chronic economic anxiety created by a massive transfer of wealth over the last 40 years. This transfer started with Repubs but no Dem has stopped it. Now when people ask for any relief at all they’re told to stop expecting so much. The system is insane.

The self-appointed "Democratic Leadership Council", founded 1985 following Mondale's defeat challenging Reagan's 2nd term, decided that to beat Republicans they needed to be more like the Republicans. They took Clinton's 1992 victory as validation and never looked back.

We used to have manufacturing jobs that paid living wages and pensions. Now we're fighting for $15/hr. Not to be the minimum wage but THE wage. Capitalism is a death cult.

Many people like to say Biden is the FDR of our generation, but I like to think of him as the Hoover of our generation. Lets hope history is cyclical and the next President will actually be the FDR of our generation. If the economy gets any worse we may be living in Biden-villes.
