“Moral calculus.”
The moral calculus could not be clearer. A $15 minimum wage would cost employers. Growing inequality costs all of us even more. washingtonpost.com/opinions/…

There are more employees than there are employers. If you can’t pay your workers a living wage then you deserve to go out of business.

'moral calculus' won't get me that spot at the fancy fundraising dinners, though

Americans are known for making up terms that don’t really exist.
You mean like voting for Dems out of fear of Republicans, even though they're both on the same goddamn team?
The math is pretty simple.
For the cost of flying just one F-35 jet for ONE HOUR, you could pay somebody $15/hr full-time for an ENTIRE YEAR. Every one of those bombs killing brown kids could be somebody safe and fed and clothed, a mother able to take care of her kids. That's a choice we make every day.

Marianne, please start calling out the Biden admin's lies. That's what they are, straight-up lies about 2k checks, public option healthcare, minimum wage hike. And now we're back to bombing others / being the world's police. We NEED other dems to start calling it out. #demexit
