You tell ‘em, Bernie!!
Sen. Bernie Sanders calls Walmart the “largest welfare recipient” in the U.S. “Walmart made over $15 billion in profit last year alone, and yet … Walmart pays wages so low that tens of thousands of their employees are forced to rely on public assistance in order to survive.”

Marianne I just wish action followed his words. If not they're just words.

Unfortunately, some will say the solution is to cut off the public assistance.

They have known this for years HRC herself was a member of the WallyWorld board and could care less about the pay for the little people Every time Congress speaks about the minimum wage they bring up this known fact and still allow it. We need Less gov, more equality from Corps

@BernieSanders @RepJayapal None of these statements means a damn thing if Manchin and Conservative Democrats can hide behind procedure. Just this week, @SpeakerPelosi seemed to be signaling Congress will pursue a stand alone bill. That bill would be DOA in the Senate.

That’s how they make $15 billion in profit they run a minuscule payroll cost. There is no reason in the world why they can’t pay their staff a proper living wage. Walmart run by Republicans I’d bet.

And after you digest that fact, consider how many products on Walmart's shelves benefit from tax subsidies and of the deductions Walmart gets for its operations. No wonder they can keep their prices low: Your tax dollars at work enriching the Waltons, Mr. & Mrs. America!

They also screw over single moms who may have to take off work when their child/children are sick and they must stay home with them. Tell me Walton family, should you get your own “4 points” and be fired for not honoring “Family Leave” laws???? #patheticpractices #singlemomsrock
