True. I watched that and cringed. Enough that the Israeli govt does is worthy of legitimate criticism; lying about what they do is just as bad.
It's all fun and games until you start promoting antisemitic myths, @NBCSNL. Every Israeli citizen—Jewish and Arab, Muslim, Christian, of any or no faith—is eligible to be vaccinated; 2/3 of Israel's Arab citizens over 60 already have been. Apologize.

I was wrong on this one, making a distinction between Israeli citizens versus people in the West Bank and Gaza that I should not have made. Criticisms of Israel on this one are in accordance with international law and I apologize.

No. Now you are definitely wrong. You are rewriting the joke to erase the antisemitism and curry favor with the Israel haters. And your ill-informed comment on international law is ridiculous.

This is why we need to be careful how we help those that live a life we don’t know. This is a sensitive matter in which our own citizens have no damn clue how to give healthcare as a right to ppl or even a vaccine. We can’t help. We are the problem. We have to change our system.

And he's lying by omission. He says every Israeli citizen, neglecting to mention that the ones under Israeli military control but not citizens are not eligible, which includes just about everyone in Gaza.

I wish we could normalize this. This apology tweet is one of the most refreshing things I have seen in a very long time. Thank you.
