Our political system spent 40 yrs creating a time when even before the pandemic 40% of us couldn't afford $400 unexpected expenditure, creating chronic anxiety & despair among millions of people; now worse. What does that system call this problem? "A mental health crisis."

it could be called a Mental Health Crisis ... but there are reasons behind this crisis ... Taxes that bleed income from the poor and middle class and give it to the rich ... allowing corporations to become monopolies ... allowing union busting ... and the list goes on and on!

I hope you don't mind if I drop this here. The big milestone of lives lost, with all the other suffering - the long-term illness, families, then the financial crisis - none of it had to happen. See other countries. We must have the will to do this.

Today we start a 500,000 contact effort. It's an incredibly high number, but I'd like to feel that each person lost to COVID has been represented by an email, call, or fax to an elected official (or other who talks about COVID). We will need a lot of help!
