Random neoliberal-of course I agree with this but the best way to do it is by individuals pursuing our own rational ends in a free market enhanced by gov deregulation, low taxes, private ownership of public utilities & public bailout of corporate externalities. Yea capitalism!

Except if they need meds to relieve their suffering. Then they are meant to suffer, for the greater good. Or so you've told me.

Policy fails to help many. For example, I'm working through the pandemic, but have been underemployeed. most places are not hiring. I filed taxes, received no stimulus- it's impossible to get in contact with the IRS. I qualify for pandemic assistance & can't reach unemployment.

This should be the policy of all states! Unfortunately, this is not always and not everyone succeeds! Probably such a world and our reality. But we must try and give a decent life for people, make them at least several times happier ...

Agreed, so where does that put us on the scale? My guess would be at the low end. To bad our administration doesn't pay more attention! They're referring to the American people as part of a "herd". Hmmm not sure if I've ever heard that before 2020/2021.
