I absolutely do not apologize for saying that the rights of women should have been included in those negotiations. I was right. We’re talking about the TALIBAN here.

How they hell are we going to do that without staying?

How about apologising for taking NYT’s reporting at face value? It usually goes without saying (and I suspect you know) diplomatic efforts to get some assurances in exchange for the ramp down will be made.

You are right. They should have been included. But regardless, we must leave that country and let the Afghanis sort things out.

If we were there because of human rights violations, your stance would make sense but that's not why were there and the US player a part in the formation of the Taliban.

Not our fight. We've been there for 20+ years and praying we get what we want before leaving is a fantasy. God can figure out what to do with the Taliban. America needs to leave and figure out why our women die on US soil when they serve in our Military.

Like do these people not realize this actually is our responsibility to address given we were the ones who financially backed the Taliban to its rise to power to combat Russia. Like yes we 100% have to have the priority of leaving, but we also have to also do it right.

The Taliban controls more territory then after the U.S. Invasion. Taliban understands that they are in control. It's their sovereignty. Any negotiation for Woman's Rights will be in Bad faith. American Troops will simply be canon fodder for endless war.

Who made America the world police? Should Afghanistan deploy troops to America to stop the deadly violence inflicted up on Black folks by white supremacists and Police cause it looks like the Americsn government hasn't been able to protect its citizens for the past 400 years.

The role of the US military in Afghanistan is to protect pedophile drug kingpins that run the ANA, we aren't over there protecting Afghan women.
