True. I watched that and cringed. Enough that the Israeli govt does is worthy of legitimate criticism; lying about what they do is just as bad.
It's all fun and games until you start promoting antisemitic myths, @NBCSNL. Every Israeli citizen—Jewish and Arab, Muslim, Christian, of any or no faith—is eligible to be vaccinated; 2/3 of Israel's Arab citizens over 60 already have been. Apologize.

what's worse than cringe is that palestinians are suffering under an apartheid regime which the US is supporting

I don’t totally disagree with you. Most Jews I know do not. The issue becomes how to address it and how to change it.

But the reaction was specifically regarding the vaccination of Arab Israelis and Avi had a good point. That’s where it gets complicated. But you’re right, it was Saturday Night Live. I get it.

No that's the way Avi framed it because that's the way he's trained. I know that well. This is the way it should be framed. You may be familiar with the author.
I’m not a PR professional but if you want global credit for vaccinating a huge portion of the population you govern then you should probably vaccinate a huge portion of the population you govern.

But why should a person who Israel governs not count in their stats? Their life matters whether Israel tabulates it or not.

What good point the truth, not everything is anti semitism? Some American Jews tend to throw that word around like it doesn’t have consequences. I am disappointed that you side with Zionism.

One way to change it is to stop giving war criminals like Avi the benefit of the doubt when they make outlandish claims of antisemitism.

You do realize that the “Arab” population of Israel is a fraction of the Palestinian diaspora?

Not sure you get it.

Avi *purposesly* used the term citizens, not population which was in Che's line. He is lying.

No, that’s not what the joke was. He said “population”. The guy in the tweet is the one who twisted it to “Israeli citizens” in order to make the joke seem malicious
