I like a lot of what Biden is doing, from reuniting separated kids & immigration to Yemen & Iran. But I can’t understand why they’re not doing the things that will matter most to those who need it the most. Why is it considered too “progressive” to rescue people who are drowning?

It’s not. They’re just bought and owned by corporate interests so they won’t help where it matters most.

What are you talking about? The only true thing you said was about him trying to reunite kids. Everything else is wrong. He is continuing wars and continuing deportations unnecessarily. How do you support that?

So you like that he’s continuing the same immigration policy as Trump and Obama, the same hawkish policy on Iran as Trump, and continuing the same genocide in Yemen that both Trump and Obama supported? With friends like these...amirite?

Because the oligarchy is afraid that if they give even an inch on the things people really need, it will embolden the people to demand more. They are terrified if losing even a smidge of control over us.

Because our system depends on cruelty, indifference, and neglect in order to keep profits flowing for the owner class. We have to keep people living in desperation in order to tolerate the way we are treated. Like staying at a bad job for insurance that you can't afford to use.

Because they don't want people to realize, or come to expect, their country could and should be helping them. them.

Because Americans believe that the life you have is the life you deserve. If you’re poor or sick, it’s your fault. They also derive a sense of self from having things that other people don’t. 🤷🏿‍♂️
