2/ Right now we seem on track to take with us to outer space the same consciousness that has done so much to destroy the earth. Space exploration is a magnificent thing; the weaponization of space is a tragic perversion of our values. Yet that is the path that we were on.

3/ Let’s teach our children today not only a deep respect for the scientific feat accomplished by the Mars landing, but also a reverence and awe before all creation...including all planets. Space exploration should make us a more humble, not a more arrogant species.

Humans will take the human condition to space will us. All of our best and worst qualities will follow us there. Today is a great day for JPL, NASA, the Deep State and Big Science. Thanks for reminding us of the need for humility, but nobody was asking for a lecture.

Imo, Capitalism In Space will lead to enormous destruction on a level previously impossible. We must change before spreading to the stars or it'll be too late and the cancer will irreversibly metastasize.
