2/ Right now we seem on track to take with us to outer space the same consciousness that has done so much to destroy the earth. Space exploration is a magnificent thing; the weaponization of space is a tragic perversion of our values. Yet that is the path that we were on.

3/ Let’s teach our children today not only a deep respect for the scientific feat accomplished by the Mars landing, but also a reverence and awe before all creation...including all planets. Space exploration should make us a more humble, not a more arrogant species.

Yes ... like the "US Space Force" that Trump created ... there should be an effort among all the countries in the World to Demilitarize Space! ... It might fail ... but give it a shot ... make the effort ... it just might happen.
