For my non-Texans, it’s hard to convey how f’d our state is. It’s barely broken freezing since Sunday. Half of Austin has been almost entirely w/out heat or power for 2.5 days. Water pressure is dropping and there’s a boil notice but half the city has no power to boil. Thread🧵⤵️

This is so heartbreaking & terrifying for the people in Texas. The current GOP has been hijacked by a foreign entity, as they certainly don't care about the American people🙏🙏🙏

About 3.8% of Texans are without power while 6.1% of Miss is without power. TX has a lot more people, but power grids should be built based on geography and population. I just think TX should not be the only state where someone needs to investigate. poweroutage.us/

Why are trucks not delivering wood and water?. I woke up with this dream and it seems so amazing and simple right now.. I'm' so far away with a '99 blazer and a woodpile ..

"This all started when several nuke, coal and gas power plants froze Sunday night because they’re not winterized despite warnings after our last storm in 2011 because we deregulated everything and industry owns the legislature/governor."

Very accurate thread, but sadly it’s even worse. For example, they’re evacuating the hospital near where I live. kxan.com/news/local/austin/s…

Elections have consequences. I’m sure Tricky Ricky Perry did everything on his watch to better protect his corporate buddies instead if the foolish citizens that were so easily tricked. But that’s public education on the old school rhetoric for you.
