We’ve so normalized an economically tyrannous situation that moves which should be considered moderate and commonsensical are deemed far left and fringe. They are not.
A $15 minimum wage is not a radical idea. What's radical is the fact that millions of Americans are forced to work for starvation wages, while 650 billionaires became over $1 trillion richer during a global pandemic. Yes. We must raise the minimum wage to a living wage.

It should be tied to the the cost and standard of living. I know that $15 may not be enough in New York or California, but it would destroy small businesses in Kentucky.

At some level, a minimum wage will eliminate too many entry level jobs. It also causes automation to be most cost effective during recessions which is exactly the wrong time to encourage replacement of people with machines!

Marianne I am for an immediate raise to 15 not phasing it in over five years. Where did that come from?

Agree! ... and I'm not so sure $15 an hour is a living wage ... but it's a start ... and it's better than $10 an hour!

$15/hr should have been the minimum wage TWENTY YEARS AGO.

Who would think that a stagnant minimum wage would be "normal" as the price of everything escalated.🤔
