It’s such a tiresome myth in any case, and one you see incessantly propounded in our advertising and popular entertainment. Personally, I find it so boring.

I’ve been noticing the same. A myopic point of view that ultimately hurts everyone, including those hyper focused on their individual self interest.

Agree! AOC is the perfect example as epitomized by her dramatic recreation of the time the mob wasn't threatening her.

Individualism is inherent to character, any one's. American greed is catalyst for its narcissitic tendencies. Corporate globalism is the distribution channel for that character flaw. #tuesdaymotivations

Narcissistic people work together that's why. They all have the same goal. Plus they need each other to get rid of people that aren't narcissistic.

They have no problem hurting people.

And the children. No thought for the 7th generation.

Rugged individualism is great when it allows for innovation that serves the organism (community) as a whole. Not when innovation becomes a cancer, seeking to exist for its own sake and consume the community that nurtured it.
