Note to my Democratic colleagues: there is ZERO risk in going "too big" on COVID relief. The American people are demanding bold action and we cannot let them down after they delivered us the presidency and majorities in the House and Senate. Do right by them. Go big.

Replying to @EdMarkey
Surely “big” would include $2000 a month retroactively and until the end of the pandemic, possibly for three months afterwards as well.

That would be perfect. A big help for people, and restoring the economy. What's wrong with that? Two Trillion on tax cuts for Republicans' donors and friends, who asked, or objected, if that was too much?

Why not transition to ongoing #ubi after the pandemic?

I believe the arrangement is fair !

We need DC to go small on donors before they'll ever go big on helping the people.

Someone could/should create a way to verify constituents exist in each congressional district by voter roles etc and show the reps that X number say 1000+ voters demand $2000 a month Covid survival checks. They only care about our votes for or against them or big money donors.

The people need this desperately! If they would provide us with this, it would elevate people to an entirely different level! People are barely surviving and we need to infuse our economy and help all the people not just survive (although, that is necessary now) but to thrive! 🙏

I think Markey was in favor of monthly checks.
