Re taking “stepping stones” to universal health care: Do we take “stepping stones” to increased military spending or “stepping stones” to tax cuts for the richest? Do not apologize for wanting - or expecting - what the citizens of every other advanced democracy take for granted.

Older may not always translate to 'Advancd'. After (un)civil war, why people need additional legislations to vote?

"Stepping stones", that sounds just like incrementalism by a different name...

Incrementalism appears to be whats used by folk that KNOW they have a product that is on its way out...it has expired and is rotting BUT they want to squeeze every last penny out of it before hand

It costs more money to NOT have Universal Healthcare. Medicaid costs an average of $28/month to cover a healthy child. Private health insurance, through Obamacare, which provides the same care (no better than Medicaid), costs about $600/month in premiums for insurance companies.

Saying "every other advanced democracy" implies that this is an advanced democracy. 😬
Yesterday the President Tweeted that healthcare was a human right and then proceeded to talk about how he was going to make it affordable. I can't even comprehend the cognitive dissonance required to think it's OK to charge someone for a human right.
