Re taking “stepping stones” to universal health care: Do we take “stepping stones” to increased military spending or “stepping stones” to tax cuts for the richest? Do not apologize for wanting - or expecting - what the citizens of every other advanced democracy take for granted.

This nation isn’t a democracy. It’s under corporate oligarchic rule.

What they take for granted & have had for many decades. ACA was sold as a stepping stone...we certainly don't need more stepping stones.

Remember when the hedge funds used incrementalism to stop the stock market shorts? Yeah, me neither.

That’s right. Change happens overnight for wealthy donors. Incrementalism for the rest of us.

Where are these stones? Can I buy some. I sure could use a stepping stone right now.

Silly us, we’re not a Democracy. Our entire representation is two right wing parties. Washington is currently under siege by our own government. We are a Police State.

It's not even a privilege of advanced democracies. I work in Thailand, a developing nation, and they have a universal healthcare system here. I went to the ER for enteritis uninsured. 8+ hrs in ER, x-rays, IV, etc all cost less than $40. US gov't is just run by sociopaths.

While I personally support full socialized medicine now. It's not like we were spending trillions a year on the military in 1776.
