The profit motive should have no place in these three areas: 1) healthcare, 2)reporting the news, and 3)the defense industry. Our world would be an infinitely better place if in those three areas profit were removed from the equation.

It's not profit motive that is the problem, it is the distribution of those excess revenues over expenditures. Profit distribution MUST be in pursuit of mission, not accumulation of wealth. Correctly directed profit incentives improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Also, corporation must have a specified lifespan, after which their assets MUST be redistributed. Otherwise, we place corporations above us, as immortal, and as such, not in our service.
