Dangerous to the enemy. For profit companies are much more likely to product high quality, low failure rate weapons otherwise they lose their contracts. Gov't agencies have no such motivation.

We just passed the largest inflation-adjusted defense budget since World War II -- at the height of a pandemic and recession -- with broad bipartisan support and no fanfare. A major coup for these war profiteers.
