This is the easiest question in the world, you continue to empower and grow the latter party so they have the legislative and electoral cover to do more. It's literally been this way since the founding. Read a fucking book already.

If one party doesn鈥檛 even pretend to care and gives you nothing, and the other party won鈥檛 stop talking about how much they care but refuses to give you as much as you actually need, then where are you supposed to go?

馃憢. It doesnt matter where the idea comes from or how much activism there is - the greatest advances in policy that helps people often come during periods of significant Dem legislative control. Not saying they deserve blind loyalty, only give them power to overcome weakest link
