If one party doesn’t even pretend to care and gives you nothing, and the other party won’t stop talking about how much they care but refuses to give you as much as you actually need, then where are you supposed to go?

The only way out of this problem is to go through it. Make coalitions and make it work. Revolution/dissolution of government gets a lot of vulnerable people killed and takes us right back to warlords.
