.@KamalaHarris has written a WaPo op ed calling unemployment among women a national emergency. True. And there's a great solution too - $2k/mo retroactive to beginning of pandemic & extending for 3 mo. afterwards. (We're counting on you to try to persuade your boss, Madame V-P!)

They want the socialist powered shutdown, but not the socialist powered benefit to the people

Did she offer any solutions outside of change around the edges?

Imagine writing a bill about something and forgetting about it. This woman is a fraud and we should all be worried.

Marianne I am a solo parent - that's no coparent, no family of my own. No backup. This pandemic has me isolated for nearly a year with a 7 year old, and I am also autistic and chronically ill. I just lost my job because I couldn't keep up. Homelessness is next. Emergency = YES!!

She was on the bill with Ed and Bernie, pass that shit. It’s already ready to go. What the shit is taking so long?

Yes. Thank you! We do need the retroactive UI $600 from Sep to Dec. So many America people ran out of savings, using and maxing out credit cards to pay rents, bills and food, ending in deep financial debt.

🤍⭐️I’m loving your stance on #UBI. I’ve been working on a #UBI project which is currently in its infancy. I look forward to reaching out to you soon to request your participation! 🌟🤍

A huge part of why we haven’t seen real help from the government during this crisis is the fear of setting expectations for the future. People might start to get *ideas* about what the government can and should do for them. The lack of help is very much about avoiding that.
