On a day like today we have 2 emotional choices: get depressed and cynical, or motivated and inspired. I’m going with my late father’s voice in my head: “Don’t let the bastards get you down, little sister.” I’ll give myself an hour to scream into a pillow & then get back to work.

Wait didn’t you guys win the election? Don’t you have the majority in both the House and the Senate? Why are you crying about Trump? Go support the new president and pass your great policies!

Went from empowered excitement today to deep disappointment. I’ve got the language to reframe this to more positive thinking but today just tired of having to. But more of the wizards curtain was taken down today and again we learn the change we seek will be for the people to do.

There is a third choice. Those of us who have read enough socialist theory are prepared and unsurprised by the capitalist class solidarity. There is a way to combat it, through working class solidarity and a fight to abolish the oligarchic system and replace it w/ a socialist 1.
