Something new is going to be born from all this. The entire system as it now exists is decrepit, lacking the moral force needed to stand up to systemic injustices that have corroded its soul. The whole thing is going to crack open now and something amazing is going to come forth.

(1) I agree with you that “Something new is going to come out of this” (Trump impeachments)How about this? An amendment forming 6 territories out of our over extended empire which started out as 13 East Coast colonies. The territories would collect/ disperse income tax first

(2) to meet the needs of each territory. Then the federal tax would go to the central gov in DC to spend on defense, foreign policy, etc. Frankly, I wonder how dear old Sen Bernie Sanders is going to manage the budget of our sprawling empire. You thoughts?
