A $15 minimum wage would lift almost a million people out of poverty. There is something cruel about the fact that it’s even open for discussion.
A $15 min wage would cut 1.4 million jobs and remove 900,000 people from poverty. How could losing jobs eliminate poverty? Those "lost" jobs are actually 2nd jobs needed to make ends meet. 1 good job at $15/hour is better than 2 bad ones at $7.25/hour nbcnews.com/politics/joe-bid…

At the same time raising the cost of everything else! So what’s the point?

I’ve always wondered why raising the minimum wage HAS TO result in losing jobs

People still practice a form of human sacrifice. In today's economy, we sacrifice a percentage of people we call "unemployed"l. The percentage needs to be just high enough to put a damper on wages. Unemployment, poverty is treated as normal economic theory. It's systemic cruelty.

Some small businesses may have to cut people to pay the extra amount. I used to own a small manufacturing business. We had very tight margins. People (who we valued as our greatest asset) were always our biggest expense.

Can you please comment on Biden sending B-1 raiders over Russia?

There's something cruel about your unwillingness to acknowledge the disproportionate harm done to poor and unskilled workers by the minimum wage. Quite the nerve. No amount of wishful thinking or ostrich syndrome will change that.
But that million of out-of-over people would cost the employers, many of whom are rich and powerful, $30 billion a year in "losses" each year. Can't have that happening in this country. That's theft, socialism and punishing success. /sarcasm

Or we could lower the cost of living. Higher minimum wage will only continue to increase the cost of living. In my state a 1 bedroom is over 1,000 and you need to make over 3 times your rent. $600 per week = 2400 per month. Let alone all other bills and if someone has kids
