A $15 minimum wage would lift almost a million people out of poverty. There is something cruel about the fact that it’s even open for discussion.
A $15 min wage would cut 1.4 million jobs and remove 900,000 people from poverty. How could losing jobs eliminate poverty? Those "lost" jobs are actually 2nd jobs needed to make ends meet. 1 good job at $15/hour is better than 2 bad ones at $7.25/hour nbcnews.com/politics/joe-bid…

We need a smart min wage rule. There should be a revenue requirement e.g. 1 million. This solves the small business dilemma - creating more owners will create better income equality than any min wage rule can do on its own.

You're not doing the math correctly .. nor are you understanding human or entrepreneurial nature.

I love the idea of a future where everything is purchased from Amazon or Walmart once they've gobble up all of the failing small businesses- no exceptions.

If you raise the minimum wage to $15 you will have fewer people joining the military as an alternative and there won’t be the bodies necessary to fight all our wars.

It won't lift them out of poverty if they have to pay $6 for a gallon of milk. Or, have their rate increased a few hundred dollars. Unless there are restrictions on inflating prices, what good is increasing minimum wage??

#UBI > #MinimumWage increase, everywhere but on the FedGov budget. The latter will almost immediately result in lowered standards of living for the demographic it's intended to help by raising business overhead which will simply get passed to the customers, leaving minimum...

It's gonna lift the workers who aren't let go to make room in the budget to pay the rest. And those who remain will be doing more work to make up for the lost employees.

problem is politicians make so much damn money that you have no clue what it’s like to earn $10/hour. If you raise the minimum anyone can get for showing up, to 15 bucks they won’t be hired. They will be unemployed. My 16-year-old son does not need to be lifted out of poverty.
