2/ A strictly materialist analysis of politics and history, however correct on an external level, will not be enough to produce the kind of historical change that rides on the wings of the prophetic call m: “Justice, justice, thou shall pursue justice.”

3/ No successful social justice movement in the history of the U.S. has apologized for or failed to acknowledge the prophetic legacy of a spiritual call to repair the world. Fundamentalist materialism as well as neoliberal attachment to money & power blocks the way to liberation.

Imagine capitalism without greed. Not so bad. If you can't fathom that, you must believe greed is inherent. If that's true, it must be used to benefit the people. This is why socialism is a dream: people are who they are. We have to learn to use that to everyone's advantage.

Curious if u think collective spiritual calling is almost contrary to individual spiritualism-& if that is part of the "block"-not many good models historically of collective spiritualism that is not also creating or resulting from the shadow.🙏
