I’ve spent time among the very very poor and I’ve spent time among the very very rich. The gap that exists there should not exist. Some have so much money they honestly don’t know what to do with it, and others have so little money they honestly don’t know what to do.

We need a #WealthTax: 2% on $50M and over, plus an additional 1% on billionaires. Everyone knows it. One of the wealthiest men I’ve ever known once said to me, “My taxes are so low it’s obscene.”

How about a #CarbonTax instead on anyone worth >$50M? The wealthy inherently contribute way more to carbon emissions than the poor. This would have a double benefit of increasing taxes on the wealthy while combating global warming. We could add in corporations with revenue >$100M

A wealth tax is pretty good because it doesn't discourage investment as much as an income tax does. It still discourages investment a bit, but the biggest problem is it's easy to avoid. A land value tax is better in each of these respects.

That you find a condition offensive is no reason to use violence (and make no mistake, government action is always violence) to shape the world to align with your values. That many agree with your view is irrelevant. Theft is theft.

People need self respect to be successful. Watching greedy gov't & corps devalue people w/min wage & check haggeling is down right abusive & destructive. These greedy folks think they are *worth more & better than* sad to tell them they are not.

They’re both grossly insufficient sums. If anything, it defends their insatiable appetite — objective to hoard the majority of the world's material wealth. The marginal wealth tax should recoup trillions in tax havens. I suggest a 40% rate. #TaxTheRich
It partly defends the corrupt neoliberal oligarchy. How about gaming the system. In other words, supply chain efficiency in effect is profiteering (human exploitation) . That's definitely evil, no??

Tie CEO salaries to their workers. Ensure their lowest paid workers are paid a certain % of the CEO salaries. Huge tax penalties & fines incurred daily along with very public proclamations this company's CEO is cheating workers until the ratio is fixed.
