I’ve spent time among the very very poor and I’ve spent time among the very very rich. The gap that exists there should not exist. Some have so much money they honestly don’t know what to do with it, and others have so little money they honestly don’t know what to do.

We need a #WealthTax: 2% on $50M and over, plus an additional 1% on billionaires. Everyone knows it. One of the wealthiest men I’ve ever known once said to me, “My taxes are so low it’s obscene.”

How did that quote go? "When I give food to the poor they call me a saint; when I ask why they don't have any food, they call me a communist"

The ultimate system wouldn't be to overtax or charge the rich after they accumulate their wealth—that's a bandage—but to distribute it more equitably during the earning process, properly reflecting the individual's contributions.

The devaluation of the U.S dollar causes this. Bitcoin solves this. A gold standard would too but the govt won't willing give up the power to print

Poverty should not exist any where in the world. Unfortunately with capitalism this has never been the case. It needs a source of cheap labor so others can make profits on the backs of others.
